About the Inkwell Society

Our Goal: The InkWell Society is a community of writers of all skill levels to explore their creativity, improve their craft, and share their work in an inspiring environment. We aim to foster a love for storytelling, encourage feedback, and provide opportunities for growth through writing challenges, prompts and exercises. Our hope is to empower each other to develop our unique voices and pursue our passions.

Our Team

Eddie Siah Patrick

Eddie S. Patrick loves all things dark and gloomy. This often reflects him in his personal writing and the books he reads. If he could, he would enjoy walks in a dark forest surrounded by fog, while wondering what lies in there, or taking a swim in the ocean surrounded by bioluminescent plankton. It saddens him that he doesn’t have access to either of those, so writing and imagining will have to suffice. In his free time, he plays mild horror games and socializes with friends. On most days, reading is what does the trick.

Emma Wildflower

Emma Wildflower has a love for all creatures that walk, swim, and fly… well, except for bugs of course. She delights in the sound of her violin, anything blue, and the pages of a good book. A passionate fruit hater, and considers trips to the doctor a necessary evil. When she’s not daydreaming or creating a new fictional world in her head, you’ll probably find her organizing or drawing. She blooms just like the wildflowers she was named for—and she wouldn’t have it any other way.

“A writer is a writer not because she writes well and easily, because she has amazing talent, because everything she does is golden. In my view, a writer is a writer because even when there is no hope, even when nothing you do shows any sign of promise, you keep writing anyway.”

- Junot Díaz

Victoria Mils

Victoria Mils is a fiction author whose work is inspired by classic literature, vintage aesthetics, and the quiet moments of everyday life. She created this website to make a welcoming space for young authors to gather around and share their work in the art of writing. When not immersed in tending to her literary haven, she can be found wandering antique bookshops, thrift shopping, playing the piano, and of course, reading. This includes practically anything, articles, newspapers, letters, and even the descriptions on the back of her cereal boxes. Her favourite books include The Book Thief by Markus Zusak, Little Women by Louisa May Alcott, Anne of Green Gables by L.M Montgomery, and almost any dystopian book. Some whimsical facts about her is that she enjoys watching old films, learning about Greek mythology, painting (she’s terrible at it but owns far too many art supplies, just in case “today’s the day”), and she’s a huge fan of Harry Potter (not just the books, everything).
