Donating your last penny gave no one food

It gave them so much, they couldn’t enjoy it anymore?

 

What if I told you

That saving one man’s life did nothing

Or what if I said

It would save all that was ever thrown?

 

Which of the two makes you happy?

Which of the two makes you feel fulfilled?

Is fulfillment not just a perception?

How you look upon it in a day?

 

You know you did what was right, honourable

But the world says not

And those who do wrong

Lie and deceive

Get their trophies and medals

All the while you sit in the crowd

Knowing these lies

And want to set things right

 

Justice

 

Would you believe me if I told you not to worry?

Not to boast or feel bad

 

I doubt it

Because the world is full of injustice

Lies that make you mad

Sometimes it’s hard to ignore

And all you want to do is make a stand

 

But I’ll tell you right now that’s not how you live

I’ll tell you that’s not how you love
