Silence overtakes me
It bends my words, it bends my choices
Silence rules my life
In the attempt to destroy it
Silence is my own deathly killer
It stalks me like prey to be devoured
Silence is the burden I’m forced to carry
And it laughs in my face, knowing I am simply overpowered
Silence makes me invisible
It bends and breaks me long enough so that I just disappear
Silence shields my cries
Preventing me from moving on, it interferes
Silence is my destroyer
The longer it’s there, the more I blend into the background
Silence hollows me
And suddenly, what I want, and feel, are bound
This silence
Forced on me
How do I get rid
Of this silence?
