The river is famous to the fish

Like the world is famous to us

Without one, the other would not exist

It is our home, our territory, among all chaos

Among the failing and the precarious wreck

 

Our own rivers are indispensable to our survival

They are the difference between failure or success

For our habitat is our safety

A place to lock the doors and hide away

From the predators stalking their prey

 

And like a river to the fish

Or the sky to the birds

Our homegrown dwelling

Is survival, worth, prosperity

And will forever anchor our legacy
