i need you more than i need me,
that's the plain and simple truth you see.
i hate the weakness, hate the need,
yet feed this rot with every deed.
you’re the cancer i beg to keep,
my lungs collapse but i won’t weep.
it corrupts the warmth i used to know,
makes bitterness in silence grow.
you’re the only light in my endless dark
i cling to you, though it tears me apart.
it twists my thoughts, it warps my core,
turns love to chains i can't ignore.
i need you more than i need me,
and that's the cage i'll never flee.
your poison's carved into my bones,
but i’d still die before i die alone.
i'd crawl through hell on shattered knees,
'cause without you, there's no me.
my soul dissolves, my spirit dies,
as long as hope lives in your eyes.
